I saw builder use 1:3:3 concrete mix Instead 1:2:4 concrete mix for residential buildings slab.
what is your comments ?

Ahmed Join date: Aug 2013	HI Navneet There are 3 standards in india 1. M25(1:1:2) 2. M20( 1:1.5:3) 3 M15 ( 1:2:4) M20 is the minimum for PCC and RCC for Residentail building

S L Gupta (Civil Engg) Join date: Mar 2008	Dear Navneet As stated by Sh. Ahmed the standard mix is 1. M25(1:1:2) 2. M20( 1:1.5:3) 3 M15 ( 1:2:4) But as you say about 1;3;3 In this mix sand contents are more and this mix is OVER SANDED and as much sand than requirement reduce the strength. Generally contractor use over sanded for easy finish.
