Hello everyone,

I recently purchased a 2 BHK in Bangalore, the carpet area of the apartment should be around 900 sqft.

I am completely new to interior designing and this is my first home. Although I approached a bunch of interior designers to take up the complete job, their designs are not something that I have come to like - they're quite generic like most homes.

Having seen some designs on the internet, I am looking for a vintage/rustic American/British home styles. All white interiors/deco painted etc however I am not aware how to go about and implementing this, there are a bunch of interior designers who have done the designs I am looking for however I still need some clarification and sense of direction and understanding since I am going to be spending a lot of money.

I am including photos of some examples in the attachments just to give the readers of this post an idea as to what I am looking for.

I want to know what kind of wood am I supposed to be using to achieve such a design. I am looking for a cohesive design throughout my whole home - kitchen, wardrobes for both bedrooms, bathroom cupboard (with attached mirror), showcase, puja room etc.

Prices of the wood (what brand and per sq.ft)

I believe this is a deco paint finish, however I am told deco paint is not advised since it can be hard to clean and maintain however I am still leaning towards such a design simply for its looks. I have also been told I can achieve this with laminate, is this true?

Any other suggestions etc would be more than welcome. Hoping some doubts will get cleared. Thank you.

My budget is about 5 lakh to achieve this design, is it feasible? I also want to put in wooden flooring for both the bedrooms. What kind should I go for and should I lay it down before I start interior work or after? As for false ceiling, is it advised to do? If yes, what would be the cost?
