Dear shri.Guptaji,My ground floor house is constructed with pillars. First floor which I am planning will be same as ground floor and walls for it will be on the walls of the first floor. However, I also want to construct 2nd floor, smaller than the 1st floor and position of walls will not be same as ground floor and 1st floor. Is this possible, if so does it require major change in the structural drawings - beams and pillars. Pl suggest

          First of all I suggest that take advice and drawing from any structural or civil engineer.
At the time of laying first floor roof you should give beam under the newly proposed walls which are to be constructed at Second floor.
