Topic: Determining the Quality of Construction of a Built House

Hello,

I want to buy a house in Bangalore. But I am not confident in buying a house because I am not aware of how to estimate the quality of a built house? I am scared of those who use sub-standard material to build house with the objective of only selling to make huge money. Is there a way of analyzing the quality? Are there any expert centers or expert organizations which provide professional advice on the quality of a built house?

Any help in this regard will be appreciated.

Ajit Tareeka Join date: Nov 2007	Post subject: I do not think that you could check I do not think that you can check the quality of the material used in building the house. Normally builders use sub standard material. It is not possible to check the quality of the finished house. How can you check the quality of the RCC, Cement and Bricks when they are not visible. It is not a equipment that you unfold the screws, check the fault and then repair it. It is a house that is why home owner build home in their own supervision. Home owners like to procure the material themselves, hire a contractor and even do little little tasks on their own. It a huge investment of the life so no one want to take risk.
