 Topic: Economical cement brand
Hi, Can anyone suggest me to decide what cement use for multi story construction, there are so many brand in the market, I am bit confuse, every company does the marketing, they said their product is best than others. If you suggest me the brand name which should be good in quality and economically.

      The cement required for construction should be factory-manufactured from a reputed manufacturer. It must not be from the local plant manufacturer. Care should be taken that the cement is properly packed from the factory, not be hand packed locally. While taking supply of cement manufacturing date, grade and type should be checked. The cement should not be more than six weeks old from the date of manufacturing.See the link below for more information

Join date: Aug 2014		Hi, I found below information but I can't decide which one I use, also I checked the different brand they have 25-45 INR difference in price.

  1. The IS Code of Cement
    1. 33 grade ordinary Portland cement=IS: 269
    2. 43 grade ordinary Portland cement=IS: 8112
    3. 53 grade ordinary Portland cement=IS: 12269
    4. Rapid Hardening Portland cement   =IS: 8041
    5. Portland Slag Cement                     =IS: 455
    6. Portland Pozzolona Cement              =IS: 1489 part I and 2
    7. Hydrophobic Cement                       =IS:8043s
    8. Low Heat Portland cement              =IS : 12600
    9. Sulphate resisting Portland cement   =IS: 12330

currently I am using IS: 1489 part I Could you tell me please, If it is Okay for 4 story building?

Is IS: 1489 part I is lower than 53 grade or higher?
