Every floor has its own merits and demerits. At ground floor you have not to wait for lift, easy for elders of the family, easy to take in or out the house hold items. No botheration about roof leakage and no need of roof thermal insulation etc. where as at 3rd floor you have extra space of terrace for use, take sun bath in winter and use it in night for sleepng during summer. At third foor disturbance is less as compare to ground floor etc. | | |

Pros and cons of Ground floor 1) Cool in summer time 2) Freezes in Winters 3) No need to go upstairs, Everything is easily accessed. 4) Fire and earthquake safety 5) Ideal for families with kids 6) Sometimes noisy if near the traffic roads 7) You feel the greenery at your home if there is garden or park in front of your house. 8) No is no concern about disturbing the neighbors
Pros and cons of First floor or high floors 1) Hot in Summer time 2) Cool in Winters 3) Not easy if you are fully loaded with stuff from shopping 4) Not easy with kids 5) Lifting stairs for everything, not easy accessed 6) Not safe for fire and earthquake related problems 7) Good view is possible from windows and balcony 8) Better light and ventilation 9) More clean than ground floor

Join date: May 2008 | Thanks Mr. Gupta and Gunjan for the response. I was more inclined to top floor as you said that we gets extra space, as we are 2 brother we would need some extra space, this is why we are moving from ground floor to top floor. Thankfully the lift is available in the apartment. so accessibility is not a major issue. I need to clear one more doubt, the total height of the buildig is 15 meters. I hope this is legally for the top floor and there is problems. Regards Amit | | |
