Post subject: Confirm the strength of the existing structure.

Please confirm the strength of the existing structure by hiring a structural engineer.

He will check whether the building is strong enough to hold more construction.

Also, look at the following links to view the plans:

From these link you can have ideas about the planning.

Dear Mr. Garg,
Ideally if you combine both the floors then your architect would have more options of planning the space. Joining should not be a problem as once you construct rooms on top of your existing roof then you would need to do flooring also and 6 inches can be covered in that.  Your structure should be strong enough to hold construction over your existing building so ask a civil or structure engineer to visit your site and confirm this. Other things would be easy to take care of.

Regards

I don't think there is any problem if rear roof is at upper level.
you can go ahead.

Mr Garg,

Please confirm the strength of the roof, if it is strong enough then there is no problem in joining your house to the roof. Secondly, for interior designing also it will not create any problem.

For more queries, please feel free to contact me.

Regards

Ravi
