 Topic: I am planning to fix sunshade at my home to stop dampness. The problem is the su
I am planning to fix sunshade at my home to stop dampness. The problem is the sunshade is steep towards the wall, instead of being steep at the end[the end of the sunshade will look like --|. During rain water starts to get collected at the wall leading to dampness inside home…Could you please suggest a way to fix this issue. The building is 46 years old.

Dear Rajesh

            In my view, you should lay the sun shade level not steep to-wards wall and make slope no both sides and also made thin cement concrete gola with the wall at the joint of wall & sunshade. About damp-proofing you take help from dampness sub-section in safty in ccnstruction section of website gharexper.com. link given below.
