Laminate Glass for Wooden Windows

Keeping the same window frames, you have two options:

1) Install laminated glass instead of your current glass. You say that the thickness of the window frame is 30 mm. You can easily put 9 or 13mm glass in the frame depending upon the location of the glass slab within the 30 mm space. Usually the glass is not placed in the center of the space so the wooden beading that is holding the glass from outside will start to come more and more towards the outer side as we keep on increasing the glass thickness.

2) Second solution is to install two glass sheets per window. Let the current 4mm glass be at its place and remove the current wooden beading. Secure the 4mm glass with a new wooden beading about 4mm thick. Put another 8mm ordinary glass sheet against this 4mm beading. Finally secure this 8 mm glass with the original beading.
