 Topic: Main Door Size

I am constructing a house which will have a main gate at the front. But for main entrancedoor to home, what should be the standard door width ?

I know it may vary. But what's the most normal/standard width ? Can I keep it at 3 feet ?

Any response will be highly appreciated.

Dear Sumit

  The entrance door should be at least 4 feet wide and keep two equal shutters of the door. Every items used in the house or house hold will be taken via main entrance so it should have sufficient width so that there should no any difficulty for taking items inside the house.

Hi Sumit
for entrance door openable part (shutters) should be 42 inch or 36 inch in width. Not less then 36 inch.
