|  Topic: Two storey construction
Dear All,
I am constructing a house of 1350 sq. feet 46 x 30 approx. The contractor has made 2.5' deep foundation and laid 12 pillars. The iron bars in pillar are around 10-12" dia. He says that the pillars will not be able to bear the weight of linter if constructed alone. The brick walls and pillar should be built together to gain strength.
Now the question - Is this structure sufficiently strong and can I built second floor on this.
I can give specific answer to the queries as required.
