 Topic: Type of Foundation
I am under impression that creating a foundation wall (RCC) instead of just footings and pillars to support the structure, gives better resistance against the destructive lateral forces.
Is it techinically sound and how much cost increase I can see? percentagewise

Dear patmine,

                    The cost RCC wall is 5 to 6 time high than brick wall.

Join date: Mar 2010		Mr. Gupta is right. RCC wall will cost you heavily as compared to a brick wall. Also it is not technically required for any residential building. RCC walls are more required in water retaining structures and other critical application industrial structures.
