Water filling after laying the roof (lintel)

 Topic: Water filling after laying the roof (lintel)
One of my friends is constructing his house. the Lintel/Roof was laid on March 25, 2012. However, due to some problems with the contractor, the contractor deserted. The problem is; the water which was filled until 29 March morning, leaked and none was there to fill water on the newly constructed roof. It was without water for over 30 hours, until my friend who was out of station, reached and arranged a mason and got the water filled. What kind of damage could have been there due to absence of the water from the new roof; and what measures are suggested?

Dear dev

        I read the contents sent by you. As you stated that RCC ROOF is filled with water for 3-4 days, in this period there is full saturation of cement concrete and filled water again after 30 hours. In my view there is no big harm to  the concrete. You should keep water on the roof at least for15days from the date of laying of concrete.
