Topic: Wooden wardrobes versus cement racks and cover with wooden doors

Hi,

Have recently bought an apartment. I need expert opinion whether to go for option 1 or option 2

1. Build cement racks/shelves in kitchen, bedrooms then cover the cement racks/shelves with wooden material.

2. Option two is to go with the wooden material in both the places.

Please provide your valuable suggestions.

S L Gupta (Civil Engg) Join date: Mar 2008	Dear Krishna In my opinion you should follow the first option. Cast shelves of cement concrete and use frame and shutters of wooden or iron as per Almira type.because there is termite fear if use wood in shelves.Option 1 is less costly and have long life.
