sir,

     i want to know that basement is good or bad, second this in this my plan where i can make the staircase for upper floor and basement . and for making 5 floor what type of steel and cement grade required.

Dear Ishwar

Basement provides extra space, where there is no water logging problem basement is good, you can take help from website gharexpert.com construction section where you find lot of informattion about basement,see article link given below.http://www.gharexpert.com/articles/Basement-1504/Basement_0.aspx

For staircase you should take help from Architect and use tor/ ribbed steel and use 43 grade cement. Also see the section of cement concrete for the help.
