foundation depth and cost in black cotton soil (REGAD)

 Topic: foundation depth and cost in black cotton soil (REGAD)
please if any one can help me in this. i am planning to buy a open plot which has  black cotton soil commonly called as regad in india, neighbouring plot owners say the foundation depth will be around 9 fts- 10 fts. i am afraid to buy this plot but its is prime location. so can anyof you give me sugesstion whether to buy this plot or leave it. second can i have a basement to aviod troubles with black soil.Please put all your comments, MY SINCERE REQUEST TO ALL OF YOU

Dear Shaik

          You should contact structural engineer ( civil engineer) near by your city or town who can advice you properly after inspecting the site and some lab. test, bearing capicity of soil etc are also necessary to calculate the foundation depth and other design.
