|  Topic: foundation type confusion : pls suggest
For my duplex (GF & FF) residential house
As per my contractor four variations of foundation can be done,
i have to confirm one of these to start:
1. Column (Paya/pillars) in main locations like 12-16 and then only 3-6 inch ground scratching, and putting 1 feet rcc slab and then start brick work on it. I THINK ITS BEAM BOTTOM.
2. Option A - Awwal Brick Foundation & RCC Pillars
RCC Column 5.5x5.5 ft foot and 5 ft depth (Paya/pillars) in main locations like 12-16 and then 3 feet digging at all rooms,
dust, concrete Awwal Brick, filling work,
and then putting 9 inch to 1.25 feet rcc slab
and then start brick
work on it.
2. Option B - Khatka Burnt Brick Foundation & RCC Pillars
RCC Column 5.5x5.5 ft foot and 5 ft depth (Paya/pillars) in main
locations like 12-16 and then 3 feet digging at all rooms,
dust,
concrete khatka burt Brick, filling work,
and then putting 9 inch to 1.25 feet rcc slab
and then start brick
work on it.
2. Option C - Stone Foundation & RCC Pillars
RCC Column 5.5x5.5 ft foot and 5 ft depth (Paya/pillars) in main
locations like 12-16 and then 3 feet digging at all rooms,
stone blocks, limestone, dust,
concrete, filling work,
and then putting 9 inch to 1.25 feet rcc slab
and then start brick
work on it.
What is best, and yet affordable for 2 story house.
Please suggest.
