Dear Sohail

          The area which is constructed is called built up area and calculated by multi- plying length x width of constructed portion.

Hi,
for calculating built up area, you have to measure slab or roof. for example the roof is 40 feet in length and 20 feet in width, then your built up area will be 800 sq. foot. hanging slab and chajjas are also included in it.
