 Topic: i am staying on the top floor (4th) of an apartment at chenna. during summer the
i am staying on the top floor (4th) of an apartment at chenna. during summer the temperature inside the room is terribly hot inspite of putting on the air conditioner. is there any method of painting the romm roof from inside or is there any method of using thermocole with false ceiling which can reduce the temperature by atleast 5-6 degrees. ashok kumar

Dear Ashok Kumar

You should do Thrmal insulation of your up stair room.If there is space in east and south of your room, you should construct verandha or made temporary arrangement as like shed of sheets etc to protect the walls from direct heat from the sun. The other reamedy to insulate walls and roof. You should visit website gharexpert,com where you find lot of articles about construction and thermal insulation and energy efficent home. Join date: Dec 2009		I totally agree with Mr.SL Gupta.You can insulate ur roof and walls and make false ceiling.It also will help u a lot.Also will add beauty to ur home.
