It should be noted that south entrance should be design carefully.  The entrance should be located in auspicious zone at south side.  It is important that master bed should fall in south west, kitchen at south east and more windows on north and east in this case.
Send your house map to guide you on perfect location of main door.

Resp Sir, I have only entrance from south, means road is there. & I wants to leave the passage of 3 feets toward east.

Ideal location for main door is north-east, east, south, west north corner of the plot. 
Also, entrance gate should not be in the extended portion in case of odd shaped plot.
