How mach steel required for 1400 sq ft roof?

Dear Sir/Madam,

How much steel required for 1400sq. ft. roof floor?

Roof thk. will be 1 feet.

please advise me

Dear Balaguru
           The quantity of MS Steel bars is depends on the design of slab/ roof.The thickness of roof slab is from 4'' to 6'' according to design but not 1feet. For 1400 sqft slab MS Steel is required 1700 kg to 1900kg.
