 Topic: Is plinth area and builtup area are same?

Dear all,

Anyone can clarify my doubt regarding the plinth area and builtup area

are same?

       Plinth area is the area covered by walls, columns and pillars etc. Where as in built up area the total of plinth area plush the area of balcony and other over hanging area.

plinth area is the area on which the structure is rest 
where as the built up area is the area which incluids plinth area,balconies and all other hanging area.
