 Topic: for superstructure esstimate
Respected S L Gupta sir,
      i have some confeusion in s.structure.sir in 1000 sqft.your estimate is 30 beg of cement,8 cum sand nd 14400 bricks in ration 1:7 . nd sir in 1000 sqft 14400
bricks.what i got estimate 22000 to 23500 bricks on many house plan.where i am worng sir? please help me in this way sir.

                        The estimator gives the rough cost estimate based on general house plan.Now suppose you make two nos room 10'x10'. covers 200 sqft area. Then there is 7 nos 9'' wall i.e. 70feet.In other case if you want to construct 20'x20' size room covers the area 400 sqft and wall length is 4x 20= 80 sqft. In this case area increase is double i.e. 100% increse but wall length increase is 14%. For calculation of bricks you calculate the cubical contents i.e. length x width x height as 10' x 9/12x 12 = 90 cft or 2.54 cum x 480 bricks. Do like this you will find solution. Any more information you are welcome.
