 Topic: Pillar and beam size for my house plan
sir,

i am planning to construct a house ground floor and 1st floor. please find the plan in attachment.

17'x20' is the inside size of the ground floor. i want to know how many pillar required.

do i need to run the beam in the middle ? (see green colour lines for beam)

please give me your suggestion.

       Your attached drawing is not clear. Place 9 columns and lay the beam.

please check the attached PDF. i have placed 9 columns, is it what you have suggested? 

if so, i cannot actually put a column in the middle.
