Topic: Foundation Brick estimate

Respected Sir,

Sir i need a help of you in foundation estimate of brick.Sir In your estimate i read a colum of Brick work in Foundation in 1:7.In 1000 sqft. 5000 brick.Sir i want to know that how is the depth of foundation? is 2'-6" depth?

S L Gupta (Civil Engg) Join date: Mar 2008	Dear Dhiman The estimator gives the quantity and cost as per rough cost estimate so that customers can become aware that such detailed estimation is possible. The estimate quantity should ideally be calculated by using the architectural and structural plans. For example if one person is planning to build a 3 rooms home where as the other person is planning to build 4 rooms home then the quantity in foundation will be changed even if both the homes have the same total squarefootage. For actual calculation you should have detail estimate based on the plan of house and on foundation design. The depth of foundation also varies from soil to soil and that impacts cost as well.
