 Topic: Room wall not on Beam
Hi Sir,

Normally, the room walls inside the house will rest on the beams of the slab. ( especially if the walls weight is not reaching till the ground.) .

I have a scenario, where i am planning to leave the ground floor completely empty for parking. In the first floor, some of the room walls are not exactly sitting on the beams. Will the slab be able to with stand the weight of the room walls if they dont sit on the beam.

Join date: Aug 2012		Yes you can do that. But before doing this you have to take advise from architect or engineer. Building structure should be designed properly. Otherwise it can be risky for you..
