Footings and Ground Work

Dear Guptaji I hav a friend who's a builder. He told me that, commonly, the cost of the footings & ground work will be "30% sft from the total slab area (sft) ". Example: If the total slab area is 10000sft @ Rs.900/sft, then the total sf for footings & ground work will be 3000sft@ Rs. 900/sft Is It True Sir???.
