Pillar foundation

Dear friends i am looking to get some advice about building concreet terrece house in clay soil.I am planning to build a house in clay soil it dose have rock soil underneet(about 3 meeters under ground) area is also wet land so 1 to 2 meeter down may have water precence.Advice i recieved is to go for pillar foundation which rest on rock underneeth and then build the house on top of concreet flat.
