Need to add structure support to North wall

I've been asked to help on a project and I'm looking for some suggestions, it's a 16x20 tiny cabin that was being build under code and now they want to bring it to code.  2 major things need to be done.  The stairs don't have enough head clearence (6'8" required) so we need to cut the 6x6 head bonker,  add a dormer, and a post to hold the loft up. Since the loft is at an angle it does not provide .
