Extension of rcc roof like L shape and passage of air through air holes.

I am planning to avoid sunshade and extend the main roof 2.5ft and then bend downwards 1ft at right angle like L. So, would it adversely affect the air circulation through air holes since those will be blocked by the 1f downward extension of main slab even though there would be a distance of 2.5ft between both?  If yes, is there any idea to solve the issue?.
