What precautions should be taken while mixing/laying cement concrete mix to the required site? | | | | The following precautions should be taken while mixing.
- For general work different materials required for cement concrete mix are measured loose through measuring box by volume for 1 cement bag at one time.
- For high quality in work the mixing of different types of materials should be done by weighing the materials.
- Ensure that all types of cement concrete shall be done with mechanical mixer and vibrator.
- Mixed materials must be laid at the required site within 30 minutes after adding water to the cement.
- Care should be taken that in any case the mixed materials should not be dropped from a height greater than 1.2 meter in order to prevent segregation of coarse aggregate and mortar.
