To avoid cracks, Earthen Plastering is applied. Clay in Earthen Plasters is Hygroscopic (water absorbing). Earthen walls can help to temper interior humidity. |
|
|
The Cement Plaster having Lime mortar will allow free cyclic movement of the building. |
|
|
If any minor cracks arise in the lime mortar, there will be a natural migration of free lime through the mortar which will self heal cracking. |
|
|
Two coats of plaster are applied. |
|
|
The second coat is applied when the first one is dry. |
|
|
If the plaster contains a cement or lime stabilizer, spray the plaster coat twice or three times a day with water during the first days of drying, especially during hot weather to reduce the cracks. |
