Block Board: | | | 1. Ply board OR Plywood: | | | A board which is made by joining two or three layers is called plywood board. It has three grades namely BWR (Boiling Water Proofing), WWR and CWR depending upon the bonding of layers. | | | Thickness: | | | Plywood is available in thickness ranging from 3mm to 25mm (such as 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, 12, 15, 16, 19, 22, 25). However, the most usual thickness is: 3, 4, 6, 9, 12, 16, and 19 mm. | | | SIZES: 5'*3, 5'*4 | | | 6'*3, 6'*4 | | | 7'*3, 7'*4 | | | 8'*3, 8'*4 | | | | | 2. Particle Board: | | | This board is made up of particles of wood or other material such as flakes, granules, flakes, silvers, chips, agglomerated, formed and pressed together by the use of an organic binder together with one or more ways such as heat, pressure, moisture, a catalyst etc. | | | It shall be bonded with Boiling Water Proofing (BWR) | | | Suitable Board Thickness: 12mm, 15mm, 18mm, and 25mm. | | | SIZE:2'*2 | | | | | 3. Medium Density Fiber Board (MDF): | | | MDF is made from wood and other materials and developed into fibers and reconstituted with a resin binder. It has much higher strength than particle board. | | | Suitable Board Thickness: | | | 6mm, 8 mm, 10 mm, 12 mm, 15 mm, 18 mm, 25 mm, and 35 mm. | | | SIZES: 4*6, 4*7, 4*8 | | | | | 4.Straw Board: | | | This board is made from dry non-pulped straw or similar fibrous raw material which is fire resistant and has thermal and sound insulation properties and is termite and rot proof. | | | The basic raw material straw is subjected to heat and pressure during its progression through the machine. | | | | | 5. Hard board: | | | Hard board is generally classified into following three types according to their methods of manufacturing, thickness and other mechanical and physical properties: | | | A) Medium hard board: | | | This fiberboard has a thickness of exceeding 480kg/cube, but not exceeding 800kg/m3. | | | B) Normal hard board: | | | This fiberboard has thickness of exceeding 800kg/ m3, but can not exceed 1200kg/ m3 | | | C) Tempered hard board: | | | Hard board which has been further treated in the course of manufacture to increase its thickness, strength and water resistance. | | | Thickness: | | | The thickness of hard board paneling shall not be less than 12mm in case of single panel shutter and 10mm in case of two or more panels shutters. | | | | | | | Block Board: | | | Block board is a board which has a core made of strips of wood. | | | Board Thickness should be: 16mm, 19mm, 25mm, and 32mm | | | SIZES: 5*3, 5*4 | | | 6*3, 6*4 | | | 7*3, 7*4 | | | 8*3', 8*4 | | | | |
