| Checklist for wooden doors: |

| The checklist is following. |
|
| 1. Select the right type of timber and the rank of wood. |
|
| 2. Timber should be free from cracks, shakes, dead knot etc. as laid down for various grades of timber. |
|
| 3. If the contract provides for kiln seasoning of timber, check whether it has been done in an approved kiln. Also check moisture at the site with an electrical moisture meter. |
|
| 4. General quality of work, lines levels and smoothness of planning and finish. |
|
| 5. Whether joints are of proper type, neat and strong or glue utilized in joints to joints secured with bamboo, hard-wood pins are of proper size. |
|
| 6. Whether finished size of timber frame is within tolerance of size specified. |
|
| 7. Whether portion of timber coming in contact with masonry is treated with proper preservative. |
|
| 8. The size of holding and adequacy with reference to specifications is maintained . |
|
| 9. Thickness and dimensions of panels in door shutters are proper. |
|
| 10.Thickness of glass panes and quality of glass is right . |
|
| 11.Whether putty is provided adequately between glass pane and sash bar; between glass pane and the beading. |
|
| 12.Glass pane struck by hand should not rattle. .Check quality and quantity of putty. |
|
| 13.Whether glass panes have been fixed with wooden beading where specified. |
|
| In case of flush doors check whether the center is of the type specified solid core, hollow, particle board etc. |
|
| Check quality of ply, timber specified, whether cross band exists in ply. |
|
| Check quality of glue. |
|
| Subject flush doors to the tests specified in I.S. code like; |
