Like other parts of house car garage also needs organization. Generally, our garages have so much clutter and mess that we can not spend any time there. In a cluttered room it is too difficult to even find a screw driver. Here are given some suggestions to organize the garage.
Storage in Garage
If possible try to avoid having a lot of loose items in the garage. Put the like items together; for example you can put the nut bolts in one container and garden tools in another container. Having the same kind of items together will make it easier to find. It is also a good idea to label each container. A garage could be a good place for a lot of small stuff laying around in our house; Screws, nut bolts, brushes, extra bags and there are a thousands things like this that could live in the garage.

Choose Right Storage Area in Garage
One of the important parts of garage storage is right storage systems installed in proper location of the room. The storage system can be installed in any part of the room but it should be easily accessible. Storage cabinets in a small garage may be difficult to access so you have to watch out for this if you have a small garage. Wall hooks and over head storage shelves are appropriate for such garage.
Group the Items by Category
Another step to organize the garage is to split things into categories of some sort. Categorizing things like gardening tools, sports equipment, car repair items and screws tool kit etc can make the life a lot easier. Use Hooks in Garage
Hooks are great solution for garage clutter. Long handled tools that have hole in the end can be hung on the hook. Car cover and sports equipment can also be hung on the hook.

Use Pegboard in Garage
Peg board is very useful to organize the small tools and other miscellaneous items. Mop, broomer, ladder, garden hose pipe and gardening tools can be hung on it. Just nail the pegboard to wall and have the easy access to the items.
Shelves in Garage
Shelves in garage can contain mess of your garage; organization is must to find the items easily. The best way to use the shelves is to store the smaller and like same items in a container and label it. Make sure you find out about the load bearing capability of the shelves you install. Shelves are ideal to keep the sharp tools off the floor and away from the reach of children. The toxic substances and chemicals like weed killer, bug sprayer etc. should be kept in secure place so that the children can not reach. Shelves are best option to place those items.

Over Head Storage in Garage
You can take advantage of over head space in garage. There is lot of space above your vehicle that can be easily converted into over head storage. Put the items in containers of some kind and place it on over head shelf in garage.

After you are done organizing items in the garage, you will find that there are a lot of items that you dont need. Now is a good time to get rid of such items, donate them, sell them or you just throw them out to make sure its really clutter free.
