Kids Gardening | | | | Kids are interested in the world of fun and excitement. They want to learn everything done in there surroundings. Even though, you can involve them in wonderful world of garden. Invite them to assist you in gardening and teach them how to do gardening.
- Allow them to join you when you are doing gardening. Ask them to help you watering the plants.
- Teach them how to clean the garden by picking the dry leaves from the garden.
- Let them dig in the soil with you when you are ready to plant.
- Explain them what are you doing in the garden and why. Let them ask question and reply their queries.
- Inspire them to grow plants which they like. If they get confused to choose a plant, help them to choose the plant.
- Let them choose plants, trees and shrubs to plant in the garden.
- Let them play with soil in the garden, soil can spoil the beauty of hands you can use the gloves for that.
- Teach them how to prepare soil for garden and usage of compost in garden.
- Pest control and weed control can help them to protect the garden.
Let them tell about the soil quality or pH level of soil. Which fertilizer you need for your garden soil.
Guide your kid how to fertilize and water the plants for best growth of garden.
Kid sized tools are easily available in market or let them use your hand tool in your presence. Encouragement is necessary for them to use the tools.
Also teach them about the organic gardening and bad effects of pests on health.
Show your kid how to prepare organic compost and let them try to make it in near future.
Gardening will help them to work individually and give a sense of responsibility.
