The world of children is full of fantasy and wonderful dreams and children need an environment which is colorful and fulfills their innocent ambitions. Children need a place that they can convert into their fanciful world and a kind of a space that helps them become creative and meets their aspirations. The room has to be safe, flexible and colorful.

It may not always be possible to provide separate rooms for children but where it is possible, children should be provided their own space, which should, however, be easily assessable to the parents for the child to feel safe, wanted and loved.

• Hiring an expert would be beneficial, as this would help bring in more interesting ideas, information about the variety and sourcing of materials, budgeting and quality control.
• It may be worthwhile to ponder over the budget that one would like to allocate to the children’s room. This would help in deciding the specifications of the finishes and quality of furniture that would be selected.
• Future requirements need to be considered in terms of number of children, age of the children to be accommodated and the gender of the children. For example, Think about baby bed or crib for a newborn baby and toddler bed for a kid coming out of the age of nappies. Bunk bed is an ideal choice to save the space for more than one child.
