"KITCHEN"THE POWER HOUSE | | | | The kitchen is called the "Power house" which should be looked after with utmost care.Improper placing of a kitchen or unhygenic kitchen leads to health problems and it can also effect lungs,kidney,stomach,liver and the various part of a human body.Ancient people ,especially in the famous civilisation like mohen jodaro and harappa,place of cooking was given the fore most priority and hygiene was also mentioned accordingly.
Therefore the ancient indian science,vaastu puts greater importance on the topic.
According to vaastu,the proper place for kitchen in a house is south-east corner,as South-east supposed to be the place of lord Agni,God of fire.From the scientific point of view as well,it is considered to be the proper place for kitchen as beneficial rays like infra-red rays come from east and ultraviolet rays,which are harmful for germs like bacteria,virus etc,come from south.Vaastu suggests that the kitchen not recommended in north - east corner or south west corner.
Inside the kitchen one should face East while cooking rather than any directions,especially North should be totally avoided.the wash place somewhere far away from cooking place as fire and water are clashing element.
vaastu doesn't allow dustbin or any kind of putrid things in north-east corner of the kitchen and also not allowed to raise floor in this corner of any room is suggested to be absolutely at the same level.
The most recommended colours are yellow and green .or the border of tiles could be coloured yellow. | | | | | |

| Related tips | - Avoid kitchen under, above and adjacent to pooja room, toilet, staircase and bedroom.
- Do not dispose of food waste in kitchen sink as it requires lots of water for disposal and also increases unnecessary load on septic tank.
- To clean stainless steel sink of kitchen, use white vinegar and club soda and wipe it with soft cloth.

Vastu is all about directions. It is therefore very important to first ascertain the directions of the particular rooms. In which direction are the master bedroom and the kids bedroom located. Depending upon the directions the colors can be suggested to enhance or balance the energies.
