It may be necessary to prepare your walls painting if they are worse and solid to remove the natural household layers those can be, especially in the kitchens and the rooms adjoining the kitchen .
Remove dust, stains and grease by using a household detergent and warm water. Rinse well.

| Caution :

When sponging plaster board walls, do not use too much water - squeeze your sponge out well.
|
|
| Dampness:
|
|
|
It is not advisable to paint over damp walls. So, Find out the reason of dampness and treat it correctly before painting.
|
|
| Mould Growth:
|
|
|
Mould is usually due to the thickness, so allow proper ventilation.
|
|
|
The affected surface should be cleaned with a solution of Fungicide Solution.
|
|
| Some general steps:
|
|
|
If there are cracks and holes, repair with a fine surface filler, let it dry and finally sand it with sandpaper.
|
|
|
Remove all curtains and hangings.
|
|
|
Remove hardware from doors, windows, cupboards, etc., or carefully cover all hardware with masking tape.
|
|
|
Move furniture to the center of the room and cover with drop cloths.
|
|
|
Protect the floor area you are working in - cover it with a drop cloth and move it along as the work progresses.
|
|
| Rub some creamy hand lotion on your hands before you start painting - it will make your cleaning much easier after the job .Otherwise use rubber gloves.
|
|
|
Paint ceilings first, then the walls.
