What is the recommended temperature and the rate of flow for the supply of hot water(storage type of installation) to various fixture?

Storage temperature of 60 degrees is recommended to minimize the danger of blistering, risk of steam formation . This may be increased up to 65 degrees when soft water is used and the storage capacity is limited.

Recommended temperature and Rate of flow of hot water supply is following.

Fixture	Temperature (in degrees)	Rate of flow (liter / min)
Kitchen Sink	60 C	18. 0
Wash Basin	55 C	7.0
Bath tub	41 C	22.5
Shower	41 C	7

Rate of Flow:

Two main sizes are available in general for domestic use.

Heater of a sink type has a flow rate of 4.54 liters per minute.

Heater of a bath type has a flow rate of 13.6 liters per minute.

Both the types boil water at 60 degrees temperature.
