| Carryout electrical works through licensed, certified personnel only. |

| Switch off the electric supply before taking up electrical repair work. |

| Change damaged, rusted wiring immediately. |

| Avoid joints in the wiring. All necessary joints should have proper tapes / insulation. |

| Avoid loose connection in wiring. |
|
| Use appropriate size of fuse / MCBs. |
|
| In case of fire from electrical circuits, switch off the supply immediately and use sand, carbon dioxide or dry powder extinguishers. Do not use water. |

| Effective earthing should be provided to all electrical appliances. Install Earth Leakage Circuit Breakers to prevent shocks. |

| Use properly earthed 3 pin plugs for all electrical appliances. |

| Install switches and plugs at a height out of reach of children. |

| Main switchboard and meter should be safe and protected from rain, dust, wind. |

| Keep away from overhead lines and do not touch broken wires. |

| Do not tamper with electric meters, tampering may land you in jail. |

| Never use Metallic wires near electric lines for hanging wet clothes. |
|
| Do not carry out construction in proximity of electric lines. |

| Never touch switches /plugs with wet hands. |
|
| Do not dry clothes on electric wires. |
|
| Always put phase through switch. |
|
