Hi

Can you tell me the cost of cost of constructing a sump of size 6*6*8 feet approx 8000 litres. I was told that sump will be constructed in concrete instead of brick work. please confirm if its true and also the rate of sump construction with concrete

 Dear P.K. Arkeyan If you want to construct RCC wall i.e.cement concrete wall for all the four sides of sump then extra cost involve Rs 12000-00 including cost of MS steel for cement concrete wall and total cost will be Rs 40000-00. It is advisable when cement concrete wall is to be constructed, ensure concrete should be well vibrated or compacted.Cement plaster tobe done on wet concrete i.e.within 4to 5 days after making cement concrete wall.Also follow all other instructions as earlier.  Dear Mr Gupta, From your answer I understand you are suggesting to have concrete at the bottom and brick walls for all the foursides of sump and then a concrete lid. Is it not suggested to have concrete walls for four corners instead of brick walls. If so what would be the difference in cost approximately. I do not need a detailed calculation but difference approx would suffice. Thanks much.' Regards
