Slope on a RCC flat roof
I have flat RCC roof to which I want to give a slope. The traditional method in Punjab is to use Mud Phuska and overlay it with tiles to achieve the required slope.Is there an alternative method, if I do not want to use Mud Phuska over my roof..

I just wonder if I can insulate my roof by following steps as under:1. Apply a cover of Bitumen2, Cover it with polythene (for water proofing)3. Lay used cement bags on polythene (LDPE bags will give thermal insulation.)4. Cover with soil.5. Lay tiles over it..
RCC Slab -Curing
I have laid RCC slab recently and have been curing the slab by ponding it. My mason is asking me to stop ponding after 7 days and then let the slab dry for another 7 days and then remove the shuttering.I have used PPC cement with 1:2:4 ration.
Size of the Roof Level Beam in RCC framed structure
I am using RCC framed structure for construting a house using concrete hollow blocks for external walls (8"x8"x16") and solid concrete blocks (4"x8"x12") for partition walls.I am using a grid of columns. The size of the column is 1'x'1 and the maximum distance between columns is 15'. There will be a lintel band at the height of 7'.The outer walls are 8" thick and the partition walls are 4" thick.W.

Column and width of the Room
I am building house on RCC frame structure. The width of the pillars is 1 foot by 1 foot. My master bedroom is 15 feet by 13 feet.Should I increase the width of the column ?What should be the size of the beam?.
