Plinth beam at ground level

Hello, I have a doubt about plinth beam at ground level. I have constructed 3 pillars in front of house to extend the house. but we did not add the plinth beam connecting those pillars. However there is no walls planned in ground floor in that area. Can you please suggest if this is fine or some alteration needs to be done. Our contractor said that it is not required as the load is handled by pill.
