Bedroom Painting Tips and Ideas

• Just add a few notes of energetic colors like green and cobalt blue if you are using cool white color for decorating whole room in order to avoid a monotonous atmosphere.
  

• Paint one wall in indigo, dragonfly green or scarlet colors and use the same shade for few accessories like flower pots or cushions to create a sense of continuity. 

• Never use dark colors for small rooms as they make the rooms look smaller. 

• Use soft colors which make the space look larger.

• Paint the walls  in more intense colors such as red, dark brown and green if you wish to create an atmosphere of liveliness and cheerfulness.

• Paint the rest walls in white or off-white color if there is a potent and strong color like red or orange.

• Use soft tones of blue with white, beige and ochre if you wish to create a    serene and tranquil atmosphere.
  
• Paint your ceiling in white color to maximize essence of light and space.


• Apply floral wallpapers especially with pastel tones which look wonderful in bedrooms.

• Use lacy and beaded bed linens with heaps of colorful pillows and cushions which can add opulence at low cost. 


• Decorate your windows with colorful, striped or dot fabric blinds.


• Dress up your doors and windows with gossamer light, deep hued curtains if you do not prefer blinds. Go to a ‘Saree’ shop to get a variety in curtain colors.


• Use popular Romantic, European style furniture made of rich and deep toned woods such as cherry and walnut having stains such as cocoa, java or sienna.


• Always apply light colors like white and cream in children’s study room because these colors induce concentration.  


• Choose medium to dark blue shades for painting boys’ room.


• Use pink which is favorite color of girls of any age group.
