TV wall mounts have become an essential part in placing a TV in the living room because mounted TV not only saves space but also creates a striking, ultra modern look presenting a theater like experience in the home. It also opens a whole new range of decorating options making the living room a fun place to be in.
TV Wall MountsTV wall mount can be moved left or right across the length of the wall plate for centering purposes. For those who wish to change the angle, there are tilt TV wall mounts available. Some tilt TV wall mounts work on a ratchet principle. Here the tilt is adjusted by simply moving the display by hand to the desired angle. You have to purchase TV wall mounts depending on whether your TV has a flat back or a small protruding modular ‘box’ at the back. If you have the later type of television, you will require a tilt TV wall mount. The standard wall mount will not work with the box type TV.
Some TV wall mounts have ‘security features’ which allow you to padlock the TV to the wall plate so that there is no chance of theft. The TV wall mount not only saves valuable space in the home but also keeps heavy appliances safely out of reach of children.
Parts of TV Wall MountsOnce the rails and plate are installed, TV can simply be placed on the wall plate. In general typical universal TV wall mounts have two basic parts.
• A wall plate that attaches to the wall or entertainment center
• Rails that attach to the back of the TV
TV CabinetsA ‘must have’ item for your TV is TV stand Cabinet which not only makes interior decorator of the house happy but also provides place for keeping tapes, magazines, and CDs. Some TV stand cabinets are built-in box type with glass doors and built-in shelves inside it to store TV, VCD and Cassettes. Some cabinets have wooden doors to keep TV tastefully under wraps until family's favorite weekly show comes on.
The box type TV cabinet has now given way to proper entertainment units, TV Trolleys, storage plus TV cabinet etc. With the emergence of plasma TV and other flat screen TV in the market, TV cabinet has also transformed to a modern and sleek look. Modern TV Cabinets are without enclosing framework. TV is kept on the top of the cabinet while lower half of the cabinet is used for storage purposes. Such cabinets have adjustable shelves to facilitate the storage of different types of things.
