According to Vastu shastra toilet should be constructed in the North-West, west or South corners of the house. Never construct toilet in the middle and North or East corner of the building. Toilet in North or East quadrant will bring misfortune such as financial instability to family members. There are many other points also that should be kept in mind while constructing toilet:

 The water storage or the taps in the toilet should be in the East, North or Northeast corners.

The toilet should be one or two feet higher than the ground level.

The door of the toilet should be in the East or North direction.

 The flooring of the toilet should have slope in the east or the North.

Light colors are preferred in the toilet.

The toilet seats from South to North and West to East are best.

Use light shades on the walls of the toilet.

 If you have a small window in the toilet, it should be located in the East, West or North directions.
