Oh, I would love the wooden flooring any day over any other type of flooring.  The most trendy apartments around the world have wooden floors in the living rooms, bed rooms etc. India is  a differant case as in the past we did not have good termite protection or other wood protection materials available in the market. 

Wooden flooring is also expensive compared to other type of flooring options but if you have money then I would go for it..... We only live once, right :)
