CEILING HT

Dear Sir 1] Is it advicable to increase the ceiling ht of the residential building from the usual 10 or 11ft to 12ft through out ? The structure is RCC. 2] Is a semi basement or depressed level car garage advicable? This only to conserve site space for construction of dwelling area. 3] For FSA, should open space be uniform all around or a ratio of site dimension to built up is to be left .
