World’s Most Elegant Cities

Wonderful things of the world amuse us for their distinct qualities i.e. architecture, interior designing, everlasting beauty, natural surroundings etc. This is about 10 most stylish cities leading the world in fashion and design. The streets of these cities are designed with haute couture, new wave cinema and art nouveau. They have innovative boutiques concepts like Colette, well-known for its avant-garde inventory. Here are given detailed stories of their designs and stylishness.

Paris is well known for its stylishness. "It has a certain sense of natural style," says Michael Kazam, the business development director of an international directory of creative professionals, "It's a very global city with incredible charm and history worn on its shirtsleeve."  Paris was rated as the most stylish city of the world in a recent survey. New York, London, Rome and Milan are also known for their fashion and design approvals.

Los Angeles is known for bottled blonds and spray tanned celebrities and rich architectural and fashion traditions as well. Cameron Silver, the owner of high end vintage boutique Decades - a style institution in its own right - chiefly loves mid-century homes of Schindler and Neutra, peppered all through neighborhoods Los Feliz and Silver Lake.

Barcelona is well known for its architectural view, particularly the work of Antoni Gaudí, whose wild looking, intricate buildings and gardens attract all. Gaudí's Sagrada Familia, which has been under construction for the last 127 years and is not expected to be complete for further 25 becomes the center of tourist attraction.

Reason behind elegance
A survey of 20 countries was conducted by Anholt-GfK Roper City Brands directory in April this year. All 10 cities were judged on their lifestyle, multiculturalism, cultural life, climate, and prettiness. The expert Simon Anholt made research to create a new and improved report that included more respondents from non-European countries and a mix of respondents from both developed and developing countries. All the top 10 cities were known for distinguished contributions in design, but fashion specially, as the fashion plays a leading role in a city's cultural evolution and identity.
